Ask the Experts!
Each month we will be hosting a professional in a different area to give the best advice and tips for any pet owner. In January, we hosted a Nutritional class that gave great tips for how you can help your pup's allergies and diet. One of the biggest takeaways was making sure to give your animal the correct volume and nutrient balance. This month we will be hosting our class virtually with the help of Angela Castro, from Only an Ocean. Angela Castro will be educating us on the importance of a Slow Feeder, as well as Poochie Bells. Poochie Bells are a great technique to help your pup with potty training. Additionally, Angela Castro will incorporate how we can add Slow Feeders to our dog's daily routine.
Look out for future professionals like Dr. Petrone from Long Branch Animal Hospital. In March, Dr. Petrone will be focusing on the importance of healthy gums and ear cleaning. In April, we will host the SPCA on how you can help animals and why volunteering is important. Finally, we will have Heather from Bodywork & Aromatherapy on how therapy can be beneficial for your animal. If you have any questions or want to hear from someone on a specific topic, reach out!

A Sweet Treat Recipe
Grab your Red Velvet Cake Mix and Shortbread Cookie Mix from the Cafe to make this perfect treat for your Valentines Day.
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Combine the Red Velvet mix and Shortbread Cookie mix into a mixing bowl. Add the 2 eggs, 5 tablespoons of vegetable oil, and 1 cup of water to the mixing bowl and stir until all of the ingredients are blended together. Begin slowly adding the flour to the mixing bowl. Continue adding flour to the mixture until you are able to roll the dough into a ball. Once the dough is able to be rolled into a ball, transfer the dough to a pastry mat and use a rolling pin to flatten the dough evenly to 1/4 of an inch. Once the dough is flattened, take a cookie cutter and begin cutting out your cookie dippers. Transfer the dough shapes to the cookie sheet. Once complete, insert your cookie sheet into the oven for 6-8 minutes. When the cookies are done in the oven, remove the cookie sheet and allow the cookies to cool for 5-10 minutes. During this time, prepare your icing by adding two tablespoons of water to the icing mix. Then, take a cooled cookie and dip one end into the icing. Once all of your cookies are complete, allow your doggie to try the delicious cookie!! Make sure to take pictures if you try this recipe & tag us!
